How The Death Penalty Saves Lives
The death penalty saves lives. For example, In 2009, researchers found that in those states that adopted the death penalty for child murder cases, a 20 percent decrease in those crimes was observed after the law went into effect. Also, a study in Texas shows that capital punishment leads to “modest, short-term reductions” of murder rates of about 2.5 per execution. Finally, a study which tracked capital punishment at the state level, found the number to be 14 lives saved for every execution.
Imagine how much safer the world would be without murderers. No killing, peace could actually begin to settle among us all. What a world that would be, but the only way to achieve it is by slaying the ruthless murderers around us. We are the only ones capable of this just world. We can only begin a new world with the help of the death penalty.
